Anduril Raises $5B in Week's Largest Funding Round

Anduril Industries led the week's biggest U.S. venture rounds with a $5 billion Series H at a $61 billion valuation, followed by deals for VoltaGrid, Mind Robotics and other physical-world startups.

Anduril Raises $5B in Week’s Largest Funding Round

Defense tech unicorn Anduril Industries raised $5 billion in Series H funding at a $61 billion valuation, doubling its valuation from $30.5 billion less than a year earlier. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and Thrive Capital and brought the Costa Mesa, California company’s total capital raised to $11.4 billion, according to Crunchbase News.

Energy and Data Center Rounds

Houston-based VoltaGrid, which supplies mobile natural gas generators for data centers and microgrids, received $775 million in capital funding as part of a $1 billion strategic investment from Halliburton and Blackstone that also included a $225 million secondary purchase. Redwood City, California-based GridCare, which develops technology to supply power to AI data centers, closed a $64 million Series A led by Sutter Hill Ventures.

Robotics and Space Deals

Palo Alto-based Mind Robotics, which develops an AI-enabled industrial robotics platform and launched in 2025 as a Rivian spinout, secured $400 million led by Kleiner Perkins, bringing its total funding above $1 billion. San Carlos-based Cowboy Space, founded by Robinhood co-founder Baiju Bhatt to build rockets and satellite infrastructure for space-based AI compute, raised $275 million in Series B funding at a $2 billion valuation led by Index Ventures.

Additional Physical-World Rounds

Jersey City-based Oishii, operator of automated indoor strawberry farms founded in 2016, closed a $150 million Series C led by SPARX Asset Management, bringing its total raised to $370 million. San Jose-based Exaforce raised $125 million in Series B for its AI-native security operations platform from HarbourVest, Peak XV, Mayfield, Khosla Ventures and Seligman Ventures. Create Medicines secured $122 million in Series B for in vivo immunotherapies led by Newpath Partners, ARCH Venture Partners and Hatteras Venture Partners. Providence-based HavocAI raised $100 million in Series A for autonomous systems tools, bringing its total to $200 million after two years. Jacksonville-based Star Catcher, which is building a space power grid using concentrated solar energy, closed a $65 million Series A led by B Capital, Shield Capital and Cerberus Ventures, according to Crunchbase News.
